FUSC INCREASE JANUARY 1, 2023

On December 9th, 2022, the FCC released a public notice that it proposes to increase the quarterly FUSC (Federal Universal Service Charge) contribution factor from 28.9% to 32.6% for the 1st quarter of 2023. The rate change will be effective with your January 1, 2023 bill. FUSC is a surcharge imposed by the FCC to help maintain reasonable local telephone rates in rural areas throughout the United States. FUSC appears as a surcharge on your local and/or toll services.
